Orrefors Sarek Small Bowl with Lid
Created by acclaimed designer Lena Bergström and Swedish glassmaker Orrefors, Sarek is a collection of handmade crystal glassware representing the best of modern Scandinavian deisgn. It is inspired by the shapes and designs found in the small wooden boxes made of plaited birch bark from people in the northern part of Sweden, particularly its distinctive diamond-shaped patterns, while the combination of pale ash with crystal is a contemporary Swedish mix of materials.

Designers, glassblowers, cutters, painters and engravers play their part in this skilled work every day, and each glass from Orrefors is a unique and sophisticated piece of craftsmanship. By the time the finished glass leaves the glassworks, no fewer than 15 different people have contributed to the production process.
