Intermezzo Balance from Orrefors was designed in 1984. The glass, which holds 14 oz, suits all kinds of wine, including white, red, and rosé. The tulip shape of the bowl brings out the flavors and aromas of the wine particularly well. Intermezzo Balance is mouthblown in Sweden by expert glassblowers and has a drop of blue sealed inside the stem – an innovation based on traditional craftsmanship. Designed by Erika Lagerbielke.

Intermezzo Balance is perfect for white wines like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Gris, and red wines like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Noir, as well as Rosé but also cocktails like Margarita and Mimosa.

Designers, glassblowers, cutters, painters and engravers play their part in this skilled work every day, and each glass from Orrefors is a unique and sophisticated piece of craftsmanship. By the time the finished glass leaves the glassworks, no fewer than 15 different people have contributed to the production process.
