You can see it as a portal to the unknown, opening new possibilities. Or as a ship that turned towards space, a vertical vessel. The open arms represent a willingness to embrace the new, the unknown. If you want to, you can see it as if the scene is supervised by a higher power, with its head in gold.” Bertil Vallien's classic vertical vessel Open Arms in "Vallien blue" with a hand painted head in gold, is made at Kosta Glassworks in an edition of 300 pieces, signed by the artist. Open Arms stands proudly on a black stone base.
