Martyn Lawrence Bullard is a multi-award-winning interior designer renowned for his broad range of styles and eclectic yet sophisticated and inviting interiors. Martyn’s extraordinary attention to detail and commitment to quality have won him international acclaim. His collaboration with the established Maison Daum for this chandelier was therefore inevitable. ‘‘The chandelier came about from a desire to highlight the beauty of Daum crystal’s intensely layered colour and depth. I felt this was best shown when light floods through the crystal. From that knowledge I built up the idea of a beautiful chandelier where the crystal could be seen at its most magnificent. For the Eden chandelier my ideas came from the temptation of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The very idea that Daum crystal is so tempting it becomes irresistible…. The most delicious of sculptures, a bright rosy red apple, is buried within the leaves glowing temptingly and becomes the surprise and completion of this creation.”
Each Daum Crystal art work creation is signed with "Daum France". Every Daum piece we sell is brand new in the original box. Limited Editions come with all paperwork. Every single Daum crystal piece has it's own individuality as they are hand-made. Every piece is unique, no two Daum art pieces are exactly alike. We guarantee you the best price on your Daum Crystal purchase.
Pâte de cristal is a Daum speciality, sometimes copied but never equalled ; a precious material that gives pieces a sculptural dimension and which has been refined unceasingly. Pâte de cristal has the quality of giving translucency to the forms it reproduces. The brilliance of this material, the intensity of coulours and the myriad subtile shades all contribute to its singularity.
